Another sock toy

Okay, I get the gist of these things, and I guess they're really not all that bad. So, I told the human to have another go at it, butt this time don't make the face so garish. Cripes, that other one like to give me nightmares! So, this one ain't too shabby. I'll test it for awhile, I guess.

Call this a toy?

Okay, does this happen to other corgis? Are their humans cheap, and actually MAKE toys for their dogs? Sigh. Mine attempted to make some kind of sock toy, I guess. Butt ugliest thing I've seen in my whole life. Oh and note how she actually blamed the making of it on me! Hellooo, no opposable thumbs here, can't make anything! Sheesh.

Happy Earth Day!!

Saturday, April 17, 2010

Does this make me look fat?

Welp, the human is quite delighted with my shorter doo, butt (fluffy in a more subdued way) I'm still not sure. I'll admit I feel a bit more comfy, as it's quite warm today. I'll have to give it some more thought. I might not bite the human just yet...

i bin scalped!

The Front Garden

Welp, our front garden is coming along nicely. A pink mini petunia from last year is blooming quite profusely now, joined by the purple "million bells" next to it, and the pink English daisies off to the right. Still waiting on the first of the mini rose buds, and our lavender veronica. And of course, yours truly fluffy looks quite Fab, I don't mind saying...

New Plants all in!

With yours truly fluffy on paw to supervise, the human finally got all the new plants in the ground. I'm very pleased!

The Purple Rose of Yookipa

This is an Ebb Tide rose that's just started to bloom in our garden and I must say, it's a lovely color. Earlier today, the human went off with Grammie to something called a botanic garden. Yep, she came home with an armful of plants. I swear, all she ever buys is either food or plants. Not that there's anything wrong with that! So, I'll supervise some more planting tomorrow. A Fluff's work is never done...

Blue Pimpernels

Welp, you've prolly heard of a scarlet pimpernel, and praps know the classic story by that name, but did you also know that pimpernels come in blue, and quite an electric blue at that? Here's proof, with a colorful bit of framing to add some pizazz. I totally impress myownfluffyself at times...

New Herb & Veggie Bed

Welp, I'm perusing my new herb and veggie bed. The human planted some lemon balm, lemon thyme, onion chives, dill, strawberries, three sweet peppers and one eggplant, so far. They're coming along nicely. We're waiting on a few more things though. We've got some borage coming up from seed inside, butt (very fluffy) I also want some lemon verbena and yarrow in there as well. We got quite a bit of rain today, so things are moving along well. The Fluff is happy. Oh, by the way, you know that pink Peep I was fooling with last night? Yeah, I ate it. TOTALLY GONE!

Easter's Last Gasp

How do you know when Easter's over? When the dog finally gets a peep! I had to wait all day long for this, so I'm taking my time.

Reba The Svelte

Ah, it's very sad indeedy. I just learned that the famous, beautiful, intelligent, amazing Reba The Svelte has passed on to the Rainbow Bridge. I enjoyed hearing stories of Reba the Escape Artiste, and how she was Queen of her Maine Domain. I know that her person, Jan, is very very sad right now, and am sending fluffy sympathies.

Love and Hugs,
Stella and her human, Debba

This just in from the ACGP (Associated Corgi Grapevine Press)
Reporter: Stinky McRude

The press were called to the home of Rosewood Starry Night (aka Stella The Fluff) when a report of a flying corgi was called in on our anonymous tip line. “Yep, it’s all true”, said the pretty fluff. “I’ve been able to fly since I was a wee puppster, butt I kept it a secret cuz of that dang FAA stuff”, she continued. When asked how it was that she could fly in the first place, she responded “Welp, you KNOW corgis are magical anyway, right? I mean, we were created by faeries, for pete’s sake, what do you expect? Anyway, my momma Sophie told me she knew there was a special reason why I was born a fluff and with such enormous ears. Of course, I didn’t count on the hooman passing out this morning, when I finally spilled the beans (so to speak, arf!). Performed a good hour of assiduous face licking before I could bring her around. She had to get to work, after all. Can’t have her losing her job, cuz I ain’t cheap to maintain." We asked Stella for a demonstration of her flying technique so our photographer could get a picture. She nimbly jumped up on the couch, climbed to the arm and launched her fluffyself into the air! This reporter jokingly mentioned how that made her the "Dumbo" of the corgi world. There was a brief lip curl, a low growl, and my mind went blank. Next thing I know, me and the press photographer are back outside, sitting on our fannies. No idea what happened there, butt I got the story exclusive!
